  • Welcome to the Jadyn Welch Photography Wedding and Engagement Blog!

Hello, and thanks for stopping by! Wedding photography is my exclusive gig, and I am based in Bellingham, Washington. My style encompasses a multitude of skills that I have developed throughout my career as a photographer. I take an artful photojournalistic approach, and spice it up with some creative lighting flare, and a pose or two here and there. My lovely assistant Gabrielle and I dig deep to capture the candid, the non-traditional, the obscure, and the beautiful.  We try to remain incognito throughout most of a wedding, snapping photos that people don't even realize are being taken. We find this portrays the purest emotion, and as whole, will capture the wedding to it's fullest.

Be sure to check out my website for a full portfolio and more information.

    Enjoy your stay!

Shannon + Dave {Married} – A Lynden Church Wedding

Shannon and Dave put on an absolutely gorgeous wedding in Lynden. They spent a year-and-a-half planning, and it everything came together perfectly. November is not the most weather-friendly month in these parts, but against all odds, we managed to snag a few minutes of sunshine for a quick outdoor session! The ceremony took place at the First Reformed Church, then everyone headed over to the Mt. Baker Rotary Club for the reception.

Regina + Matt {Married} – Bellingham Wedding Photography

It has been amazing working with Regina and Matt over the last six months.  These two are easy going, and they clearly love eachothers company.  Their wedding took place on a stormy Friday earlier this month, so outdoor photos were out of the equation.  The guys got trimmed up at V’s Barbershop, then it was off to the Ferndale Events Center for the wedding.  Everything went off without a hitch, and we finished things off with a creatively-lit couples session.

A Mini Moonlight Session with Regina and Matt

You may recall seeing Regina and Matt’s engagement post from earlier this Summer.  We had a blast out at Semiahmoo, shooting for over three hours!  Full moons are extra special to these two, and since we weren’t able to get these shots during their first session, I promised them that we would do another mini session.  Fast forward a few months, and there it was…a perfect October evening with a clear sky and full moon.  Kudos to these two for toughing out the chilly temperature in short sleeve shirts!

Abby + Matt {Married} – A Country Home Wedding

Absolutely incredible.  Those are my two words to describe this wedding day!  Matt was lucky enough to grow up on this stunning piece of property, overlooking the Two Sisters.  Matt’s father built the entire estate during Matt’s childhood, and even dug the pond that weaves through grassy fields.  This land definitely has some history, and it naturally created a very powerful and beautiful venue for Matt and Abby to hold their wedding.  I was lucky enough to have two weddings in a row that involved boats and adventurous couples!  Matt and Abby took a paddle around the lake, just as the moon was peaking over the hill.  The photos speak for themselves…a simply amazing sight.  I feel very fortunate that Matt and Abby chose me to capture their day, and I wish them both much love and happiness.

Bruce + Ashley {MARRIED} – A Country Location – Bellingham Wedding Photography

This had to be one of the most fun weddings of the year!  The venue is called A Country Location, and it’s nestled away in a beautiful setting near Arlington.  Sprawling green lawns and a 3-acre pond make this place something special.  It was a very laid back wedding, and guests enjoyed their drinks while they played the various lawn games that were set up.  I even convinced them to hop in the boat and take a cruise around the lake!
