Day-to-day life in Bellingham doesn’t get much better.  We are surrounded by oceans, mountains, lush forests full of mountain biking trails, lakes, rivers, excellent restaurants, a plethora of golf courses…I could go on for quite some time on the subject.  As you can probably tell, I am based in Bellingham, Washington, and I am a wedding photographer.  Lots of people question my sanity: how can you stand shooting weddings???  All that posing, upset brides, angry mothers, disorganized family members, stress, blah blah blah… My answer stays the same every time someone asks me these questions.  You are simply taking the wrong approach! I see the happy brides, the proud parents, the excited family members, and I capture the moments and connections in artful and creative ways using a stylized photojournalistic approach.   I do absolutely everything in my power to get the shot I am after (as you can see in the photo).  Every wedding is a constantly changing endeavor that inspires me in many ways.  At the end of the day, I am absolutely exhausted, but the thrill and excitement I get from photographing weddings is unparalleled.
